Bear face cake...

A referral from Shu han where her friend wanted to order a bear face cake for his gf and she sent me the photo of the bear. I think it should be a bear that the girl likes a lot or have significant meaning to them. Therefore, I tried to do a bear face based on the picture. It's quite a simple cake just that for the ears, I use cardboard instead to make sure that it will stay. And to further ensure that they stay, I placed satay stick below as support. LOL.

It may not look exactly like the bear in the picture but it's still a bear face nevertheless. LOL.

Frozen, minions, mickey and minnie, hellokitty and sofia the first cupcakes...

An order from Shu han for a mixture of character cupcakes for a little girl. I ordered the icing image as well and for hello kitty and minions, I've done them umpteen times and it's really a breeze doing them now. LOL.

Hope the little girl likes the cupcakes!

Slug Terra 2D icing cake...

This is a very easy order where I ordered the 2D icing image with the wordings printed on it and then paste the icing image on the fondant wrapped cake. I found this really reliable and efficient source for producing icing image, be it for cupcakes or cakes and it is really a great help for me in producing icing image cake and cupcakes. So glad I found it!

Happy 5th birthday Joven!

2D Minnie mouse cake...

So for the cake in school, Jermaine wanted a minnie mouse cake. I have done a few minnie mouse cake where all of it is presented by the minnie mouse head and pink and white polka dots base. But this time round she wanted a 2D face of minnie. It's a challenge for me as I do not have the mould for it and that means I have to carve the face out and there is a high chance that it may be disfigured. LOL. Check out the cake below.

I'm really very satisfied with the final product as the face is not disfigured and the cake looks neat and sweet.

Baby animals cake...

First order in 2015 is from Jermaine who previously ordered a cake for her daughter's 1st birthday. So this year, Charlotte is turning 2 and Jermaine wanted 2 cakes, a cake for celebration at home and another in school. Check out the 1st birthday cake below.

So this year, Jermaine wanted a 2-tier cake with baby animals on it.

The final product.

The animals looks really nice on the cake and the cake is really sweet looking with the pastel colours. But due to the limited space on the second tier, I had a hard time making the sheep stay on it. I will have to take note on the size of my figures and the space on the cake next time. LOL.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

It's a new year again and how time flies Jembakes is turning 2! Really grateful to all our loyal customers for the past 2 years for giving me lots of chances and exposure to different designs and challenges. Hoping for a greater and more challenging 2015 ahead!

So to end off 2014, I had an order from my colleague Isabel for mini christmas cupcakes for the children in her church. This year I did not have time to do christmas logcake again as I was busy preparing christmas dinner with my bf for the family. LOL. So here's the cupcakes where she wanted the specific designs.

Hope the kids likes the cupcakes and had a merry and enjoyable christmas to end off 2014!
